Zanjan (city)

Zanjan is the capital of Zanjan province in northwestern Iran. There are 970,000 inhabitants (2005 estimate).

Zanjan has numerous sites of cultural and historical interest (see the provincial page). It is also where some of Iran's top graduate schools are. See: Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS)[1]
