Underworld: Evolution is a 2006 action/horror film, directed by Len Wiseman. It is a sequel to the 2003 film Underworld, and will follow on from the plot of the first film, continuing the conflict between vampires and werewolves (Lycans). The film is also expected to highlight the beginnings of the feud.
Filming took place in Vancouver, Canada, and is a departure from the setting of Underworld, which was filmed in Budapest, Hungary. It was originally set to be released in late 2005 but promotional materials reveal that January 20 2006 is the planned release date for the film.

Plot
The continued saga of war between the aristocratic Death Dealers and the barbaric Lycans (werewolves). The film traces the beginnings of the ancient feud between the two tribes as Selene (Kate Beckinsale), the vampire heroine, and Michael (Scott Speedman), the lycan/vampire hybrid, try to unlock the secrets of their bloodlines. The tale of action, intrigue and forbidden love takes them into the battle to end all wars as the immortals must finally face their retribution.
