Theatre World Award

The Theatre World Award is an American honor given annually to an actor or an actress in recognition of an outstanding "breakout" performance in their New York City stage debut. First awarded in 1945, among the inaugural recipients were John Raitt and Judy Holliday.

The awards are administered by Theatre World publications.
