Shampoo is a 1975 motion picture directed by Hal Ashby, and starring Warren Beatty, Julie Christie, Goldie Hawn, and Lee Grant. Beatty's seductive hairdresser character is considered to be an update of the Horner character in the Restoration comedy The Country Wife; the film is also notable for a cameo appearance by Carrie Fisher (her screen debut).
