Synopsis

Lucy's siblings Peter, Susan, and Edmund do not believe her about Narnia at first, but later they all find their way to Narnia. In the first story, The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, she is the first of the Pevensies entered Narnia through a magical wardrobe in Professor Digory old house and saw Narnia in the One Hundred Years Winter, under the ruled of evil self-styled Queen of Narnia, Jadis the White Witch. There she met Mr Tumnus the Faun and the Beavers. She was given a gift from Father Christmas a magical healing cordial that could heal any injury instantly and also a small dagger as to defend herself at great need. In Cair Paravel, she is crowned as Her Majesty Queen Lucy the Valiant by Aslan to the throne as co-joint ruler of Narnia thus marked the fulfilling of an ancient prophecy and the end of White Witch winter reign. She travels to Narnia again with her three siblings in Prince Caspian, and with Edmund and Cousin Eustace in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Lucy tends to be the first one to see Aslan whenever he appears. In The Last Battle, she played a minor part as return to Narnia again with his brothers, High King Peter and King Edmund; Lord Digory, Lady Polly, Eustace and Jill. There she witness the destruction of Narnia and lived in the new Narnia create by Aslan. In the real Narnia, all peoples and animals from the First Day creation of Narnia till the destruction return and joint together lived in the new Narnia. From King Frank and Queen Helen, where descendant of the first ancient Kings of Narnia and Archenland came, Telmarine's King Caspian descendants till Tirian, and all good creatures from the Golden Age of Narnia under High King Peter.

Lucy also met her old friend Mr Tumnus the Faun and Aslan told a railway accident occur in England which she, her brothers and her parents died in that accident. The Pevensies apparently lived in the new Narnia forever.

Commentary

Lucy can be said to symbolise the natural virtues of humankind, whether manifested as "childhood innocence" or in its more mature forms as depicted in the later stories. In many instances, especially in a scene in Prince Caspian where she follows Aslan even though her siblings are unable to see him and believe Lucy is lying about seeing him, she seems to represent faith.
