The Hollywood Reporter is the second major trade paper of the film industry in the United States, the first being Variety. The Reporter was founded in 1930. It began as a daily film publication, added television coverage in the 1950s and began in late 1988 to cover all intellectual property industries plus the technologies of capture process store and distribute.
The Hollywood Reporter is owned by Dutch conglomerate VNU.
