Film Production Notes
David Yates, the director of the film, has reportedly taken on the role of casting director. The search for Luna Lovegood, the character which has been described as the key role, has been narrowed down to just five hopefuls. This was confirmed in a statement David Heyman made during the premiere of the Goblet of Fire on 10/11/05. He also stated that Grawp would be a completely computer-generated character, and that negotiations were in talks with unknown actors to portray Nymphadora Tonks and Kingsley Shacklebolt. Various actors have confirmed that they will return for this movie, as well as a new addition: Imelda Staunton who is officially signed up as Dolores Umbridge. J.K. Rowling is said to lend a big helping hand to the film's production, and will be designing the Black family tree, as they need her to provide the background information, so that the information in future films is correct with it and non-contradicting. All filming is to take place within the UK. Robbie Coltrane may not appear as Hagrid in this film, although there have been conflicting reports. It is now deemed unlikely, as Coltrane is currently filming a feature-length return of award-winning Cracker in Manchester.
