The flag of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus is the Turkish flag, except that the colors of the objects and background are reversed, and the white background also has two red stripes at the top and bottom. The Turkish flag has a plain red background. This flag was the result of a competition to find a new representative flag for the TRNC. According to the Flags of the World site, It is officially regarded as the state flag of the TRNC (the national flag of the TRNC is the national flag of Turkey).
Presidential Flag
The flag used by the President of the TRNC is identical to the state flag, but with the edition of a red-and-yellow star in the upper left corner. The top red stripe is terminated just before the star. The flag also has a yellow fringe.
