David R. Palmer

David R. Palmer, born 1941, is a science fiction author who has been nominated twice for Hugo Awards. His first novel, Emergence, won the Compton Crook Award in 1985. It arose from a short story by the same title featured in an Analog anthology called Children of the Future.
