DTCP, or Digital Transmission Content Protection, is a controversial Digital rights management technology. The DTCP standard was proposed by the DTLA (Digital Transmission Licensing Administrator) to "protect" multimedia distribution in the Digital Home.
There are mappings allowing operation over FireWire (IEEE-1394), USB, and MOST (a media standard intended for next-generation automotive platforms).
