Chemical pneumonitis is inflammation of the lung caused by irritation from aspirated vomitus, ingested gasoline or other petroleum distillates, ingested or skin adsorbed pesticides, gasses from electroplating, or other irritants. It is sometimes called a "chemical pneumonia", though it is not infectious.
