Image:Cta small 2.png Image:Entctaae.jpg The Brazilian Aerospace Technical Center (Centro Técnico Aerospacial - CTA) is the national military research center for aviation and space flight of the Federative Republic of Brazil and subordinated to the Brazilian Air Force.
It coordinates all technical and scientific activities related to aerospace sector in which are interest of the Brazilian Ministry of Defense. It was founded in 1953. It aggregates thousands of civilian and military employees.
It comprises four institutes within its campus.

Institutes
Aeronautics and Space Institute (IAE)

Aeronautics Technological Institute (ITA)

In Portuguese, Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica . It is the college educational arm of the Brazilian Air Force .
Institute for Advanced Studies (IEAv)
Image:Ieav.jpg In Portuguese, Instituto de Estudos Avançados. Responsible for development of pure and applied sciences: photonics, nuclear energy, applied physics, remote sensor systems and decision support systems.
Industrial Foment and Coordination Institute (IFI)
Image:Logo ifi.gif In Portuguese, Instituto de Fomento e Coodernação Industrial . It provides civil and military aeronautical certification and acts as an interface between the institutes to the industry.
