Accuracy International is a British firearms manufacturer, best known for producing the Accuracy International AWM rifle. The company was established in 1978 to build tactical rifles, and its weapons are used by many militaries and police departments around the world.
As of September 2005, the company has filed for bankruptcy due to declining sales and an almost nonexistent civilian market in its home country.
Accuracy International was bought by a british consortium in March 2005. The original design team is now back in control of the company.
AI debued its new AS50 Semi Automatic rifle at the 2005 Las Vegas Shot Show.
